The Tastiest & Fruitiest Organic Drinks

The Tastiest & Fruitiest Organic Drinks

Lately I’ve been trying all sorts of foods and drinks that I wouldn’t normally steer towards, but I’m up for trying new things! I recently gave health teas a second shot, then even tucked into some cricket flour energy bars – you heard me right. So when these organic drinks* by Berrywhite landed on my doorstep, I was fairly up for testing them out!

They have a range of sparkling and still drinks with some of the best flavour combinations around. Their drinks were “designed to be light and refreshing so that they could be drunk alongside food, but still be flavoursome as a thirst quencher.” I don’t drink fizzy/sparkling drinks much as I suffer with acid reflux and drinks with a ‘fizz’ are one of the first things to set it off. However, when I go out for a meal and I’m not feeling like having a tipple, a glass of coke is considered a ‘treat’ to me, but I can never seem to finish it or my meal because of the full feeling it gives you. I’m sure this is a feeling many of you know! But when drinking the sparkling drinks by Berrywhite, you don’t get this at all! So it’s a much better alternative for myself just from that aspect.

So, what flavours can you enjoy?

I got to try the following; Pomegranate & Blueberry, Cranberry & Guava, Lemon & Ginger and Peach & Goji Berry. Firstly, Pomegranate & Blueberry was the best flavour and is a drink I want to have over and over again. I was shocked by this as usually blueberry isn’t a taste I like; blueberry muffins or blueberries in smoothies have never been something I’ve taken to nicely! But it’s so nice!

Peach & Goji Berry however was the flavour I liked the least, which again, was a shocker! I love peach and I only ever have peach flavoured cordial in the flat as I simply love this fruit. But there was something about it being sparkling that didn’t bode well with me, but perhaps it’s just because I’ve only had that flavour in still drinks – not quite sure if that plays a part at all? Nevertheless, it wasn’t disgusting and is easily a drink I can choose again, but just not above the other three.

If you’re not a fan of sparkling drinks altogether, then Berrywhite do have a selection of still fruit organic drinks you can enjoy. I tried the still version of the Cranberry & Guava (my second favourite flavour out the four), but I’ve got to say, I prefer the sparkling version! I love the fizziness of drinks, but it’s of course had to be something I’ve avoided for health reasons over time, but due to this not having an effect on me, it’s made me favour it! Hallelujah!

How You Can Get Free Tea And Coffee

If there is one thing that we Brits love, it is a cup of tea which we all know makes everything better. This is why one of the most popular freebies is a free cup of tea or coffee. This is one of the freebies that people will come back for time and time again. If the idea of free tea and coffee seems a bit too good to be true, you should consider why a company would offer this to you. We have teamed up with Mega Free Stuff who are one of the top UK free stuff sites, who helped us come up with this amazing list.  The owner Karen advised that she has been looking for freebies for years, and came up with this list so when people go shopping they can relax by getting a free cup of tea or coffee, she also said to check out this competition, where you can win 1 of 7500 tea sample packs.

To Introduce Their Product To You

Coffee and tea companies want you to try out their products and fall in love with their brand of warm beverage. They are hoping that if you like the free tea or coffee they offer you, you will come back and buy their product. This is a good marketing technique because most people will try something if it%u2019s free including samples of tea or coffee. This offers the business a great method of introducing their products to new customers.

As there are a lot of different tea companies and coffee shops out there, these companies have to think outside of the box. Freebies are their way of getting you to try out their brand instead of their competition.

To Make You Loyal To Their Shop

If there is a supermarket which is giving away free tea or coffee, you are going to be more likely to want to do your shopping there. When tea and coffee are offered as a perk for shopping there, the company is enticing you to want to spend money in their store. The reason is that they are giving you something extra that you would not get at their competitors. This means that you should make the most of your grocery shopping and claim a free cup of tea, after all, you deserve it.

How Can You Get A Free Tea Or Coffee?

The method of getting your free tea or coffee will vary depending on the place. However, the most common method is through loyalty cards which you need to sign up for. Free tea and coffee are on offer by John Lewis, IKEA and Waitrose as part of their membership loyalty bonus. All you need to do is sign up for their cards and then collect your free tea or coffee when you want.

There are other places across the UK where you can get a free hot drink if you do not want to head to the supermarket. Coffee chains such as Costa and Starbucks as well as certain restaurant chains often announce when they are giving away free drinks. These announcements will generally be made on their social media pages, so you will have to follow them.

There are tea companies like Birchall & Redbush and Twinnings that regularly send out free samples. These samples allow you to test out new flavours before you commit to buying a full pack.

World Baking Day: My Favourite Recipes

World Baking Day is on May 17th 2015 and although I never take much notice of these kind of events or ‘holidays’ as I’ve seen some refer to them as, baking is one I most definitely won’t give a miss. If you’ve been a reader on my blog for some time, or you’re new to Scampi & Chips and noticed the array of recipes floating around, then you’ve most likely gathered I like a bit of cake once in a while – probably an understatement.

Baking for me is a great way to relax and is also the first activity I take to when feeling stressed, but the simplest reason of all – I enjoy it. My Mum used to be a Cake Decorator before she had me and my twin, Danielle. Then we had a family bakery consisting of everything you could want: animal shaped bread, loaves, sausage rolls, pastries and my favourite – Iced Buns.

Although me and my sister were only young, probably around ten years old when my parents decided to stop the business, I can still remember the little things that probably got me into baking – mainly the love of sugar. Every Saturday morning we would have 4am starts to go to the bakery and bake – when I say we, I mean Mum and Dad! To prevent me and Danielle getting in the way, we would sit in the back of the stock cupboard in a little den we’d build ourselves and often snack on all the chocolate buttons that were sat in massive bags on the shelves, which were for the chocolate treats our parents would bake. Other times we would catch up on sleep – such a hard life, wouldn’t you agree? The best memory I have of the bakery though, is the animal shaped bread my Dad would make us. I can’t remember him actually selling them, but before putting the batch of loaves in the oven he would use left over dough and make turtle or hedgehog shaped cobs. Once they were out the oven, we lathered them in butter which the bread instantly soaked up to make buttery goodness. best. thing. ever. Although my Dad did the majority of the baking, my Mum was always the creative one when it came to cakes. Birthdays would come and go and so would the best cakes you could ever imagine. I remember our 3rd birthday, my Mum made me and Danielle a big Pocahontas themed cake! It was insanely good, with a ‘3’ shaped cake covered in blue icing as a waterfall. She then made a log log boat with a marzipan Pocahontas sitting inside, going down the waterfall. That’s just one of the beautiful cakes she would make.

Unfortunately the decorative side to baking doesn’t come easily to me, but luckily the consistency, taste and overall presentation is on point! Take a look through my simple recipes and send me links to yours!
